“Russia dragging out war and continues to kill every day, and America's silence only encourages putin" - Zelenskyy

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy reacted on his Telegram channel to russia's massive nighttime attack, during which the aggressor country used 69 missiles and 298 drones. He called for new sanctions against the russian federation and stated that the silence of the United States and others in the world only encourages dictator vladimir putin.

Thus, Zelenskyy said that during this strike, the russians' targets were Kyiv and the region, Zhytomyr, Khmelnytskyi, Ternopil, Chernihiv, Sumy, Odesa, Poltava, Dnipropetrovsk, Mykolaiv, Kharkiv and Cherkasy Regions. In total, rescuers worked in more than 30 Ukrainian cities and villages. Ordinary residential buildings were destroyed and damaged. In Kyiv, dormitories of the university's history faculty were damaged. There were hits on enterprises. There are also casualties, including children.

"Each such terrorist russian strike is a sufficient reason for new sanctions against russia. Russia is dragging out this war and continues to kill every day. The world may go on a weekend, but the war continues, regardless of weekends and weekdays. This cannot be ignored. America's silence, the silence of others in the world only encourages putin," Zelenskyy stressed.

The President is convinced that without really strong pressure on the russian leadership, it is impossible to stop their cruelty.

"Sanctions will definitely help. Determination matters now - the determination of the United States, the determination of European countries, all those in the world who want peace. The world knows all the weaknesses of the russian economy. It is possible to stop the war, but only thanks to the necessary force of pressure on russia. Putin must be forced to think not about launching missiles, but about ending the war," Zelenskyy stressed.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on the night of Sunday, May 25, the military of the aggressor country, the russian federation, launched a combined strike on Ukraine using 367 enemy air attack vehicles. As a result of the enemy attack, most regions of Ukraine were affected. Enemy air attack vehicles were hit in 22 locations, as well as downed cruise missiles and strike UAVs in 15 locations.
