According to him, since 2014, after the annexation of Crimea, Ukraine has held many rounds of negotiations with the russian federation.

"So I would say that the Ukrainian delegation knows how to handle all the things that might be voiced from that side," Tykhyi said.

The Ukrainian delegation had a "clear agenda" to ensure a ceasefire at the talks, as serious negotiations require "to have guns silent," the Foreign Ministry spokesman stressed.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, the talks between Ukraine and russia on May 16 in Istanbul lasted less than two hours.
