During "truce", russian occupiers did not reduce number of attacks on front – Khortytsia OSTG
Ukrainian servicemen do not observe a decrease in the activity of the russian troops on the front in the Donetsk and Luhansk Regions.
The spokesman of the Khortytsia operational-strategic group of troops Viktor Trehubov has stated this on the air of the United News telethon, Suspilne reports.
The occupiers do not reduce the intensity of the battles and continue to storm the positions of the Defense Forces of Ukraine.
"Let's be honest: on the ground it (silence. - Ed.) is not observed. Moreover, this applies to all the "truces" that the Russian Federation has declared - starting from the time of the ATO, Easter this year and ending on May 9 this year. It is not present on the ground as an objective fact. If it is somewhere in the statements, then let's fight with statements. In the statements, everyone is very powerful, but it is not observed on the ground," the report says.
The number of attacks on key areas of the front is not decreasing, the most fighting is recorded on the Pokrovsk and Novopavlivka axes, said the spokesman for the Khortytsia troops group.
"The intensity is not decreasing. Even this morning, the intensity of clashes is the same, the same as it was, one to one. During these declared "truces", it can sometimes subside a little in certain areas, where the Russians still wanted to regroup, and not attack," Tregubov said.
As Ukrainian News Agency reported, on May 11, Russian dictator Vladimir Putin allegedly announced his readiness to hold direct talks with Ukraine starting May 15. In response, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that the very first step in ending the war should be a complete ceasefire.
Also, US President Donald Trump's special envoy for Ukraine, General Keith Kellogg, said that there should first be an unconditional ceasefire for 30 days, during which peace talks could begin.
