Ukraine will not agree to any restrictions on sovereignty in peace processes - Sybiha
Ukraine will not agree to any compromises that affect its territorial integrity, defense capability or foreign policy sovereignty.
This was announced by Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiha during the "hour of questions to government", Ukrainian News Agency reports.
"Ukraine will not go for the so-called peace at any price," Sybiha said, emphasizing that Kyiv does not recognize any territories temporarily occupied by russia.
According to him, the promotion of peace efforts will continue in the "Ukraine Plus" format - with the participation of Great Britain, Germany, France and the United States.
Also excluded is any interference in the internal structure of the Ukrainian Defense Forces, restrictions on military cooperation with partners or a ban on the presence of foreign contingents.
Sybiha stressed that Ukraine will not accept any restrictions on its own sovereign course, in particular in the choice of foreign policy alliances.
"Yes, we may not have a consensus on Ukraine's membership in NATO now, but we will continue to actively work to achieve it. However, russia or any other country does not and will not have the right to veto our choice," he concluded.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, US Vice President JD Vance said that there is a very large gap between how Ukrainians see the end of the war and how russians see it.
Meanwhile, US intelligence believes that putin could have changed his goals in the war against Ukraine.
