Microelectronics plant Kremniy EL under attack again. Russia reports massive drone attack on Bryansk
A massive drone attack was recorded in the Bryansk Oblast of russia on the night of April 28, as reported by the governor of the region, Aleksandr Bogomaz, and the russian Defense Ministry.
Bogomaz said that the air defense system was operating over Bryansk, where one person was killed and another was injured as a result of the attacks.
"The air defense units of the russian Defense Ministry destroyed several dozen unmanned aerial vehicles over our region," he said.
The russian Defense Ministry specified that 115 Ukrainian drones were allegedly shot down overnight, including 102 over the Bryansk Oblast, 9 over the temporarily occupied Crimea, 2 over the Kursk Oblast, 1 over the Belgorod Oblast, and 1 over the Black Sea.
Local Telegram channels reported several fires in Bryansk, in particular on Moskovskaya and Krasnoarmeyskaya Streets.
As is known, the Kremniy El plant is located on 103, Krasnoarmeyskaya Street in Bryansk, one of the largest manufacturers of microelectronics for russian military systems.
Kremniy El produces a wide range of microcircuits and components used in strategically important weapons, in particular in the Topol-M and Bulava missile systems, the S-300 and S-400 systems, as well as in the on-board electronics of combat aircraft.
Previously, the Kremniy El plant was already attacked by SSU and SOF drones in January 2025, and an attack on it was also reported in October 2024.
