The aggressor country russia is preparing for the relaxation of some international sanctions on oil production. Russian oil producers are drilling wells at the fastest pace in five years. It was reported by Bloomberg on Friday, April 25.

The level of activity of oil producers in russia is currently one third higher than the pre-war level. The publication writes that this demonstrates the resilience of the russian industry to Western sanctions, which were supposed to close the aggressor's access to advanced technologies and equipment for pumping crude oil.

"Russia’s production drilling averaged more than 2,370 km (7.8 million feet) in January and February, according to the latest available data seen by Bloomberg. That’s higher than the seasonal average for the first three years of the Kremlin’s invasion in Ukraine, which triggered broad restrictions on the availability of western oilfield services in Russia, historical data show," the material says.

The drilling work indicates the resilience of the russian oil industry to Western sanctions, as companies managed to find alternative equipment or develop their own samples. In addition, some foreign suppliers continue to work in the russian federation.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on April 24, Reuters announced that Chinese and Turkish refiners had resumed purchases of russian oil.
