Defense Ministry increases number of samples of drones on fiber optics

The Defense Ministry of Ukraine has codified and allowed the Ukrainian-made Hromylo Optic unmanned aerial complex to be operated in units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine reported this with reference to the Main Directorate of Support for the Lifecycle of Weapons and Military Equipment.

Hromylo drones of various modifications have been successfully performing tasks in units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine for a long time. They have already hit a significant number of enemy equipment.

At the request of the military, the manufacturer has produced even larger Hromylos – with frame sizes of 10 inches. Such samples of drones can already carry a charge of explosive force, which is enough to defeat a tank with enhanced protection and protected firing positions.

The Hromylo Optic is a modern tool of war, among the main advantages of which are a significant range of application and high effectiveness of destruction.

"Since the beginning of 2025, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has codified and admitted to operation about 40 samples of unmanned aerial complexes on a fiber-optic control channel, in particular, a dozen and a half of them – during April.
