Prepare cash: Ukraine experiences large-scale failure in payment terminals, Diia, Nova Poshta

A large-scale failure of payment terminals occurred throughout Ukraine. Currently, some consumers of goods and services are complaining that it is impossible to top up the card, pay for a taxi, pay by card in stores and the metro.

Apple Pay and Google Pay are also not working, Suspilne: Novyny reported.

Monobank is not working, problems were also reported in Raiffeisen Bank. The Kyiv City State Administration noted that due to a technical failure in Oschadbank, contactless payment for travel at metro turnstiles is temporarily not working.

In addition, there was a failure in the Diia applications. The application is currently being restored. They explained that the temporary failures occurred due to technical updates in one of the large data processing centers. They expect that the services will be fully restored soon.

Nova Poshta services are also temporarily unavailable due to technical difficulties on the contractor's side: "We emphasize that this is not a hacker attack. As of Saturday morning, the problem has been resolved. We will notify you of any updates in due course," the company said in a statement.
