Russians illegally detain at least 30 employees of Zaporizhzhia NPP and residents of occupied Enerhodar

At least 30 employees of the Zaporizhzhia NPP and residents of occupied Enerhodar in the Zaporizhzhia Region are being illegally detained by russian invaders.

The press service of the Energoatom national nuclear energy generating company reported this on April 25.

"At least 30 people are currently being illegally detained - employees of the Zaporizhzhia NPP and residents of the station's satellite city," the company's Telegram channel says.

Energoatom said that the company is working every day to ensure that the Zaporizhzhia NPP employees who were in russian captivity, as well as their family members, are not left alone with the tragedy.

To this end, the company has introduced a program to support the families of illegally detained employees. As part of this program, they receive monthly financial assistance.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the day before, Bloomberg agency wrote, citing its own sources, that the US is demanding that russia hand over control of the Zaporizhzhia NPP to Ukraine. After that, the facility will be managed by Washington, providing electricity to both sides.

And today, April 25, Reuters agency published the text of the US proposals to end the war. It states that Washington wants Kyiv to return control of the Zaporizhzhia NPP.
