Everything was flying at Kyiv: Kalibrs, ballistics, Shaheds. Kyiv City Military Administration reports details of night attack on capital
On the night of April 24, russian troops launched a combined strike on Kyiv, using missiles of various types and kamikaze drones.
This was reported by the head of the Kyiv City Military Administration, Tymur Tkachenko, in Telegram.
"Everything was flying: Kalibrs, ballistics, Shaheds. In Kyiv and the region alone, 45 drones were recorded," he noted.
Damage as a result of the attack was recorded in five districts of the capital:
- Holosiyivskyi district - cars and garages caught fire, debris fell on the territory of non-residential buildings, garages and a two-story administrative building were partially destroyed;
- Shevchenkivskyi district - a drone fell in an open area, garages and non-residential buildings were burning, an administrative building was damaged;
- Sviatoshynskyi district - a house was partially destroyed, people are trapped under the rubble, cars and a one-story building caught fire;
- Solomyanskyi district - a drone was recorded falling in an open area;
- Obolonskyi district - cars, grass and a warehouse were burning, the roof of a non-residential building caught fire.
The report of a fire in an open area in Desnianskyi district was not confirmed.
As of 9:00, nine people were killed as a result of the shelling, more than 70 were wounded, including children. Emergency and rescue operations are underway at several locations.
According to Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko, 31 injured people are in hospitals, and five children have been hospitalized.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on the night of April 24, the russian armed forces carried out a combined attack on Ukraine with Kalibr cruise missiles, ballistic missiles, and Shahed kamikaze attack drones, hitting Kyiv and Kharkiv.
