US Department of State confirms Rubio, Witkoff to visit France for talks on russia's war in Ukraine

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio and US Special Envoy Steve Witkoff will be in Paris from April 16-18 for talks on the russia-Ukraine war.

The US Department of State announced this.

"Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Ambassador Steve Witkoff will visit Paris, France, from April 16-18 for talks with European counterparts to advance President Trump's goal of ending the russia-Ukraine war and stopping the bloodshed," the statement said.

It is noted that the visit to Paris will also discuss ways to advance common interests in the region.

As a reminder, media outlets reported that US Secretary of State Marco Rubio and US Special Envoy Steve Witkoff will visit France this week for talks on ending russia's war in Ukraine and laying the groundwork for a nuclear deal with Iran.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on April 11, the US Department of State stated that the only topic of Washington's negotiations with Moscow is a ceasefire in Ukraine.
