Ukrainians' banking secrets have already actually begun to be revealed - Yuzhanina

A Verkhovna Rada member from the European Solidarity faction, a member of the Committee on Finance, Tax and Customs Policy, Nina Yuzhanina, is convinced that the state has already actually begun to reveal Ukrainians' banking secrets.

She said this in an interview with the Ukrainian News Agency.

"Returning to what the state is doing to seize banking secrets, they are already making their way into this system on their "little chubby paws," Yuzhanina noted.

She recalled the initiative on national cashback, which provided for the opening of a separate card with full access to the account to which cashback is credited.

According to her, a bill prepared by the Ministry of Finance provides for the mandatory opening of a separate account for registration on online service platforms, for example, a taxi, to which the regulatory body will have access to track all income.

"Because of such seemingly small proposals, banking secrecy has already actually begun to be revealed. I am categorically against the full disclosure of banking secrecy," she added.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, Yuzhanina believes that the disclosure of banking secrecy will not bring any real benefit to either the state or the state budget.
