Russian troops trying to break into Sumy Region border areas in small groups - Siversk OSTG
Russian troops are trying to penetrate the territory of Ukraine through the Sumy Region. To do this, the enemy is using the tactics of small assault groups and involving sabotage and reconnaissance groups in the border areas of the region. This was reported on the air of the United News telethon by the spokesman for the Siversk Operational and Strategic Troops Group, Vadym Mysnyk.
"The largest concentration of the enemy is in the Kursk Oblast, therefore, accordingly, the enemy is trying to enter the Sumy Region border areas in small groups of infantry, use sabotage and reconnaissance groups to accumulate in the border area or check possible weak points of our defense," the military said.
However, according to the speaker, the Ukrainian military is repelling constant attacks by the russians.
"Our intelligence reports on any movements, because now there are enough means for detection. The movement of military equipment is problematic, we do not allow the enemy to actively use it in the border area, we immediately identify it and destroy it as much as possible. As for personnel, we also monitor the units that the enemy has and all their movements in order to react in time," Mysnyk said.
According to the Sumy Regional Military Administration, over the past week the russians have been attacking the border areas of the Sumy Region 30% more intensively than before.
The enemy is concentrating its main efforts in the areas of the villages of Zhuravka and Basivka.
