Steel production up 2.7% to 1.7 million tons in Q1

In January-March 2025, steel production increased by 2.7% to 1.73 million tons compared to the same period last year.

This is stated in the information published on the website of the Ukrmetalurgprom association, the Ukrainian News agency reports.

In the three months of 2025, compared to the same period last year, the production of pig iron increased by 7.2% to 1.70 million tons, the production of rolled products - by 3.3% to 1.44 million tons.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, in January 2025, steel production increased by 12.3% to 611,000 tons compared to January 2024.

Ukraine ranked 20th in the ranking of the international association Worldsteel in terms of steel production in 2024.
