Zelenskyy announces first details of AFU operation in territory of Belgorod Oblast

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy confirmed the presence of units of the Defense Forces of Ukraine in the territory of the Belgorod Oblast of the aggressor country of russia. Information about this appeared on the network at the end of March.

The head of state said this in his traditional video address to Ukrainians.

Zelenskyy reported that today [April 7 - ed.] he listened to the report of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, General Oleksandr Syrskyi. He told the President about the situation at the front, in particular in the Kursk and Belgorod Oblasts.

According to the President, the Ukrainian military is conducting active operations in the border areas of the aggressor country.

"And this is absolutely right - the war should return to where it came from," Zelenskyy emphasized.

He added that the actions of the Ukrainian military made it possible to reduce pressure on other areas of the front.

The Ukrainian Defense Forces did not confirm or deny this information. At the same time, the Ukrainian OSINT project DeepState marked the territory near the settlements of Popovka and Demidovka as a "gray zone".
