Zelenskyy appoints former Prosecutor General Kostin as Ambassador to Netherlands
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy appointed former Prosecutor General Andrii Kostin as Ambassador to the Netherlands.
This is stated in the presidential decree No. 212 of April 7, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
"To appoint Andrii Yevhenovych Kostin as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to the Kingdom of the Netherlands," the document states.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, in October 2024, Zelenskyy dismissed Andrii Kostin from the post of Prosecutor General after the Verkhovna Rada approved his dismissal.
In July 2022, Zelenskyy appointed Andrii Kostin, Member of Parliament from the Servant of the People faction, as Prosecutor General.
In October 2024, after a meeting of the National Security and Defense Council, which discussed the situation with medical and social expert commissions and abuses in the prosecutor's office, Kostin announced his resignation.
