Russia changes tactics of strikes on Ukraine, using ballistics more – Air Forces

The russian federation has changed the tactics of missile strikes on Ukraine, the enemy is modifying its missiles and drones and has begun to use ballistics more.

The head of the communications department of the Air Forces Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Yurii Ihnat, reported this on the air of a telethon.

"The tactics of use can really change. The enemy is really modernizing its equipment. We see that the Shahed has changed externally to black since the beginning of its use in the fall of 2022. It also received a number of modifications regarding guidance, satellite navigation, etc.," Ihnat said.

According to him, the russians are also modernizing ballistic missiles. Ihnat noted that after receiving Patriot air defense systems, Ukraine was able to destroy Kinzhal missiles and ballistic Iskanders. However, now it is more difficult to do this, since the enemy is modernizing its missiles. Ukraine, in turn, shares this information with Western partners so that they can improve anti-aircraft systems.

"Since the beginning of 2024, the enemy has increased the percentage of ballistics, if we take all missiles. Cruise missiles are becoming less in percentage, and ballistic missiles are becoming more. Because ballistic missiles, we understand, are being shot down by the Patriot," he added.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, the russian federation launched 23 missiles and 109 drones over Ukraine. The Air Forces informed how many targets they shot down.

Fires broke out in three districts of the city due to the missile attack on Kyiv, there are casualties.
