Trump admits russia violating ceasefire conditions
The aggressor country of russia has agreed to a partial ceasefire in the war against Ukraine, but is violating these conditions. US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said this at a press conference on Friday, April 4.
Rubio stressed that the United States is not interested in negotiations for the sake of negotiations, but is trying to achieve a lasting peace. According to him, time is running out to assess the readiness of the parties to the ceasefire.
"If we have a real ceasefire, a complete ceasefire - nothing should explode. But, again, the russians did not agree to this, they will violate. They wanted certain conditions, and they are violating these conditions, which is why we talked about a partial ceasefire," Rubio said.
If the russians go on the offensive, it will become clear that they do not want a ceasefire, which is why Congress has already begun working on additional sanctions against russia, the US Secretary of State emphasized.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on April 2, Ukraine handed over to the US evidence of the aggressor country russia's violation of the moratorium on strikes on energy infrastructure.
On March 19, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that the russian army continued to strike at Ukrainian energy facilities.
As a reminder, on March 11, Ukraine agreed to the US proposal to immediately introduce a temporary, 30-day ceasefire.
