Russia concentrates ten times more troops near Lyman than Ukraine - ISW
Russian troops have created a large grouping on the Lyman axis in the Donetsk Region, which numerically exceeds Ukrainian forces by 10 times.
This is stated in the report of the Institute for the Study of War (ISW).
According to analysts, in the coming months the russian army may try to advance north of Borova or further south - towards Lyman.
Russian war correspondents claim that the kremlin will try to unite two bridgeheads on the right bank of the Zherebets River: the main one near Novoliubivka, and a smaller one near Makiivka. It is expected that russian troops may try to bypass Ukrainian positions in Novoserhiivka, Druzheliubivka and Novyi Myr.
On this section of the front, the russian federation mainly uses infantry, and rarely involves armored vehicles.
Earlier, the Ukrainian military reported that russia was preparing a large-scale offensive in the direction of Borova in the coming weeks.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on April 1, 176 combat clashes took place on the front, with the enemy attacking most of the time on the Pokrovsk (64 clashes) and Kursk (18) axes.
