Air defense downed 42 of 86 enemy drones at night

On the night of Thursday, March 27, russian troops launched a ballistic missile and 86 drones over the territory of Ukraine. Air defense forces managed to shoot down 42 drones, another 26 UAVs did not reach their targets (lost in location).

The Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine announced this on the Telegram channel, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

It is noted that on the night of March 27 (from 08:00 pm on March 26), the enemy attacked with an Iskander-M ballistic missile from the Voronezh Oblast and 86 Shahed strike UAVs and simulator drones of various types from the directions of Millerovo, Kursk, Primorsko-Akhtarsk (all - RF) and Cape Chauda (TOT Crimea).

"As of 09:00 am, it has been confirmed that 42 Shahed attack UAVs (other types of drones) have been shot down in the south, north and center of the country. 26 enemy simulator drones have been lost in location (without negative consequences)," the report says.

The Kharkiv, Sumy, Dnipropetrovsk and Chernihiv Regions were affected by the russian attack.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, russian troops launched 117 drones over the territory of Ukraine on the night of March 26, air defense forces managed to shoot down 56 drones, another 48 UAVs did not reach their targets (lost in location).

Meanwhile, a russian drone attack on the city of Dnipro injured three people, destroyed businesses, an educational institution, damaged high-rise buildings, and dozens of cars.
