Enemy drones damage cemetery in Odesa: dozens of graves destroyed

On the evening of March 20, the enemy attacked Odesa with strike drones. As a result of the attack, in particular, the Novomiske (Tairovske) cemetery was damaged.

The Odesa City Council has reported this.

"Damage was recorded on sections 64a (major damage) and 104, 93 (several monuments), where burials took place mainly from 1974 to 2010," the report says.

According to preliminary data, 50 graves were damaged, 30 of them were completely destroyed.

Also, as a result of the attack, large-scale fires broke out, in particular in a shopping center, shops, a high-rise building and cars were damaged.

Three teenagers were injured. Medical workers provided all necessary assistance to the victims both on the spot and in the city hospital.

Under the procedural leadership of the Odesa Regional Prosecutor's Office, a pre-trial investigation into the facts of war crimes (Part 1 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine) has been launched.

Recall that the attack caused local emergency power outages in the Prymorskyi, Peresypskyi, and Kyivskyi Districts of Odesa.
