US President Donald Trump and russian dictator vladimir putin share the view that Iran should not be able to destroy Israel.

This was reported by White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt following a telephone conversation between Trump and putin.

According to her, the US President and the russian dictator spoke about the Middle East as a region of potential cooperation to prevent future conflicts.

Trump and putin also discussed the need to stop the spread of strategic weapons in the region. The leaders agreed to interact with other countries on this issue.

In addition, they discussed the Iran-Israel conflict.

"The leaders of the two countries share the view that Iran should never be able to destroy Israel," the White House press secretary wrote.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on March 7, it became known that the US President sent a letter to Iran in which he proposed to hold negotiations on the nuclear deal.

As a reminder, the day before, Bloomberg reported that Trump had asked putin to mediate in negotiations between the US and Iran on the Iranian nuclear program.
