Trump calls conversation with putin "good" and "productive"

US President Donald Trump called his conversation with russian dictator vladimir putin "good" and "productive".

Trump wrote about this on the Truth Social network on Tuesday, March 18.

"My phone conversation today with president putin of russia was a very good and productive one. We agreed to an immediate Ceasefire on all Energy and Infrastructure, with an understanding that we will be working quickly to have a Complete Ceasefire and, ultimately, an END to this very horrible War between russia and Ukraine," the US President said.

Trump said that he had discussed many elements of a peace treaty with putin. According to him, putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy would like a ceasefire: "That process is now in full force and effect," Trump stressed.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on March 18, US President Donald Trump and russian dictator vladimir putin began a telephone conversation at 4:00 PM (2:00 PM GMT).

The conversation between Trump and putin lasted about 2.5 hours.
