AFU withdraw troops from one of front sections in Donetsk Region – Naiev
The command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has made a decision to withdraw the military of the Armed Forces of Ukraine from disadvantageous positions on one of the front sections in the Donetsk Region.
Lieutenant General Serhii Naiev reported this on Facebook.
"The most important thing for the command is to preserve the lives and health of personnel. Therefore, a decision has been made on one of the front sections to withdraw forces and equipment from disadvantageous positions. This made it possible not only to save fighters, but also to improve our defense. The enemy is suffering losses, and we have the opportunity to act more effectively."
The occupiers are suffering losses, the Ukrainian troops have the opportunity to act more effectively, Naiev noted.
"Over the past month, thanks to the joint work of scouts, drone operators, artillerymen, mortarmen, tankers and infantry, we managed to destroy more than 30 units of enemy armored vehicles and more than 2,000 occupiers. This significantly reduced the number of enemy attacks on our axis," Naiev added.
We will remind, on March 16, 112 combat clashes took place at the front, the enemy attacked the most on the Pokrovsk (21 assaults) and Toretsk and Kursk (14 each) axes.
The Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed 1,560 occupiers and 28 units of armored vehicles. The General Staff named the losses of the russian federation per day.
