Air defense downed 130 out of 178 enemy drones at night
On the night of Saturday, March 15, russian troops launched two Iskander-M ballistic missiles and 178 strike drones over the territory of Ukraine, air defense forces managed to shoot down 130 drones, another 38 UAVs did not reach their targets (lost in location).
The Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine announced this on the Telegram channel, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
It is noted that on the night of March 15 (from 07:30 pm on March 14), the enemy attacked Ukraine with two Iskander-M ballistic missiles from the Kursk Oblast of the russian federation and 178 Shahed attack UAVs and simulator drones of various types from the directions of Oryol, Millerovo, Kursk, Bryansk, Primorsko-Akhtarsk (all - russian federation) and Cape Chauda (Crimea).
"As of 08:30 am, it has been confirmed that 130 Shahed attack UAVs and drones of other types have been shot down in the Kharkiv, Poltava, Sumy, Chernihiv, Cherkasy, Kyiv, Zhytomyr, Khmelnytskyi, Kirovohrad, Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Odesa and Mykolaiv Regions. 38 enemy simulator drones have been lost in location (without negative consequences)," the report says.
The russian attack affected the Dnipropetrovsk, Kharkiv, Odesa, Sumy, Chernihiv and Kyiv Regions.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on the evening of March 14, the occupiers launched a missile strike on a residential area of Kryvyi Rih, Dnipropetrovsk Region, injuring 14 people, including two children.
