Border Service denies border breach in Sumy Region

Russian troops did not breach the border in the Sumy Region, but are actively trying to displace the Defense Forces and are conducting dozens of assault attacks.

This was stated by the spokesman for the State Border Guard Service, Andrii Demchenko, during a telethon.

According to him, the russians are carrying out massive attacks, trying to cross the border in order to expand the combat zone or take control of logistical routes.

Thus, in the direction of Novenki, the russians cannot use equipment, so they operate in small assault groups - 2-3 or 5 people each. Their task is to penetrate the territory of Ukraine, gain a foothold and expand the bridgehead.

Demchenko noted that the units of the State Border Guard Service and the Armed Forces of Ukraine are doing everything possible to prevent the enemy from advancing. Over the past day, Ukrainian forces have destroyed about 20 russians, another 15 were wounded and retreated.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, meanwhile, russian troops continue to advance in the Kursk Oblast and have probably launched an offensive on Sudzha.

The military did not record the presence of North Korean soldiers among small groups of russian infantry trying to penetrate deep into the Sumy Region.
