Ukraine should not stop mobilization and martial law during ceasefire - MP Kostenko

Ukraine should not stop general mobilization and cancel martial law in the event of an agreement on a ceasefire for 30 days.

This was told to journalists by Roman Kostenko, a member of the Verkhovna Rada from the Holos faction, secretary of the parliamentary committee on national security, defense and intelligence, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

"Of course. We are not talking about peace. We are talking about the possibility of a 30-day ceasefire," he commented on whether Ukraine would still not cancel martial law and mobilization if there was a 30-day ceasefire.

In his opinion, the russians can use these 30 days to accumulate forces, for example, to plan new operations and begin to destabilize Ukraine from within.

"It is important for the russians now to make a truce. Then extend it, then set conditions for elections. Next - to lift martial law and start talks about demobilization, so that our army disperses there and continues hostilities," he stressed.

The MP is convinced that now is not the time to start "clapping our hands," but to be very careful.

"The photo is good, we did a good job, but we talked to our partners who helped us. Next, serious talks and the reaction of our enemy," the MP added.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, Ukraine accepts the US proposal to establish a complete ceasefire not only regarding missiles, drones and bombs, not only in the Black Sea, but also along the entire front line.
