Cabinet approves Zelenskyy's appointment of Kalashnyk as head of Kyiv Regional State Administration

The Cabinet of Ministers supported the draft decree of President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on the appointment of Mykola Kalashnyk as head of the Kyiv Regional State Administration.

This is stated in the government's message on the Telegram channel, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

"At the meeting on March 11 ... the draft decree of the President of Ukraine on the appointment of Mykola Volodymyrovych Kalashnyk as head of the Kyiv Regional State Administration was supported," the message says.

34-year-old Kalashnyk has been the first deputy head of the Kyiv Regional State Administration since December 2024, and since January he has been the temporary acting head of the Kyiv Regional State Administration.

In 2013, he graduated from the Kyiv National University of Trade and Economics with a degree in "Foreign Economic Activity Management", with a qualification of Master in Foreign Economic Activity Management. In 2018, he graduated from the National Academy of Public Administration under the President of Ukraine with a degree in "Regional Administration", qualification - Master of Public Administration.

Kalashnyk is a candidate of economic sciences.

In 2011-2012, he worked as a customs broker at VENT-SERVICE LLC.

In 2012-2013, he worked as an economist for contractual and claims work, deputy head of the department of the municipal enterprise "Directorate for Management and Maintenance of Non-Residential Fund of the Darnytskyi District of Kyiv".

2013-2017 - was the head of the department for communal property and privatization of the state housing fund of the Darnytskyi District State Administration of Kyiv.

2017-2020 - head of the Darnytsia District State Administration staff.

2020-2024 - first deputy head of the Darnytsia District State Administration, temporarily acting head of the Darnytsia District State Administration.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, in December 2024, Zelenskyy dismissed the head of the Kyiv Regional State Administration, Ruslan Kravchenko, who had held this position since April 2023. After that, the Cabinet of Ministers appointed the former head of the Kyiv Regional State Administration, Kravchenko, as the head of the State Tax Service.
