Digital weapon permit launched in Diia. How to get it

A digital weapon permit has become available in Ukraine through the Diia application. This digital document replaces the paper version, which greatly simplifies the process of obtaining a permit and its further use.

The press service of Diia has reported this.

 "If you are the owner of a weapon that is entered in the Unified Weapons Register, we have good news. You no longer need to carry a paper permit with you. Now the weapon permit is displayed in Diia, you can generate an extract in a few clicks," the press service noted.

The user will also receive a push reminder when the permit is about to expire.

To pull up the permit in the application, you must:

• Make sure that Diia is updated and open the application
• Click on the documents and scroll to the end
• Click "Add document" - "Weapon permit".

You can also generate an extract on weapon ownership in a few clicks in the application. To do this, you need to click on the three dots on the weapon permit or in the "Services" section - "Certificates and extracts".

It will also be possible to extend the validity of the document online through the Ministry of Interior Affairs website. No bureaucracy and queues.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, in 2025, a number of new state services will be introduced in the application and on the Diia portal, including consular and notarial services.
