109 combat clashes take place on front during day, Kursk and Toretsk axes hottest
On March 5, 109 combat clashes took place on the front, the enemy attacked the most on the Kursk (27 clashes), Toretsk (21) and Pokrovsk (18) axes.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has stated this in its operational update on Facebook, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
Over the past day, the enemy launched three missile strikes using four missiles on the positions of Ukrainian units and settlements, as well as 85 air strikes, in particular, dropped 121 guided aerial bombs.
In addition, the enemy carried out more than 4,000 attacks, of which 144 were from multiple launch rocket systems, and attracted 2,547 kamikaze drones for destruction.
On March 5, 109 combat clashes with the russian occupiers were recorded on the front.
Thus, on the Kharkiv axis, Ukrainian troops repelled six enemy attacks in the area of Vovchansk and towards Petro-Ivanivka.
On the Kupiansk axis, three attacks by the occupiers took place.
The defense forces repelled russian assaults near Holubivka and Zahryzove.
On the Lyman axis, the enemy attacked ten times, trying to advance near Novomykhailivka and Nove.
On the Kramatorsk axis, nine combat clashes were recorded in the areas of Chasiv Yar, Oleksandro-Shultyne and Predtechyne.
On the Toretsk axis, the occupiers carried out 21 attacks near Toretsk, Dachne, Krymske and Dyliivka.
On the Pokrovsk axis, Ukrainian defenders stopped 18 offensive actions of the aggressor oi the areas of Yelyzavetivka, Promin, Pishchane, Kotlyne, Kotliarivka, Serhiivka, Bohdanivka and Andriivka.
On the Novopavlivka axis, the Defense Forces repelled eight attacks near Kostiantynopil, Rozdolne, Skudne and Burlatske.
On the Huliaipole axis, the invaders carried out one attack on the axis of Vilne Pole.
On the Orikhiv axis, Ukrainian defenders successfully repelled four enemy attacks in the directions of Kamianske, Pavlivka and Lobkove.
In the operational zone in the Kursk Oblast (russian federation), units of the Defense Forces repelled 27 attacks by the russian occupiers.
In addition, the enemy carried out 35 air strikes using 46 KABs, and also carried out 380 artillery attacks on positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and settlements, including ten from multiple launch rocket systems.
The enemy did not conduct active operations on the Siversk and Dnieper axes.
Over the past day, aviation, missile troops and artillery of the Defense Forces struck 16 areas of concentration of personnel and equipment, a control point, as well as an electronic warfare station of the russian invaders.
In total, the losses of the russian invaders on March 5 amounted to 1,140 people.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on March 4, 108 combat clashes took place at the front, the enemy attacked most actively in the operational zone in the Kursk Oblast of the russian federation (30 clashes) and on the Pokrovsk axis (17 clashes).
