Air defense downed 107 attack UAVs over Ukraine
Overnight into February 28, the aggressor country of russia attacked Ukraine with 208 Shahed attack UAVs and simulator drones of various types from the directions: Oryol, Bryansk, Kursk, Millerovo, Shatalovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk.
This was reported by the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units and mobile fire groups of the Air Force and the Defense Forces of Ukraine.
As of 09:00 am, it was confirmed that 107 Shahed attack UAVs and drones of other types were shot down in the Kharkiv, Poltava, Sumy, Kyiv, Chernihiv, Cherkasy, Vinnytsia, Zhytomyr, Kirovohrad, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia, Kherson and Mykolaiv Regions.
97 enemy simulator drones were lost in location (without negative consequences).
The Kharkiv, Sumy, Mykolaiv and Zaporizhzhia Regions were affected by the enemy attack.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the officer of the command of the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Denys Smazhnyi, said that it was possible to save air defense assets from destruction in the first days of the full-scale invasion of the aggressor country of russia thanks to high maneuverability and dispersal.
