Russia attacks TPP in Mykolaiv: 46,000 consumers left without heat

Russian occupiers targeted the Mykolaiv Thermal Power Plant at night, leaving 46,000 consumers without heat.

Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal reported this on his Telegram channel.

"Enemy UAVs damaged the city's thermal power plant. This was done deliberately to leave people without heat at sub-zero temperatures and create a humanitarian catastrophe," he wrote.

According to him, the relevant services are doing everything possible to restore heat supply to homes, schools and hospitals as soon as possible.

67 invincibility points have already been deployed in the city, and 3 modular boiler rooms in healthcare facilities have been connected.

"We are coordinating the efforts of the central and local authorities to help people. I have instructed to hold a meeting of the State Commission on Technogenic and Environmental Safety and Emergencies on this issue. Based on its results, a number of additional measures will be taken to provide heat to the city's residents," Shmyhal added.

Recall that the attack on Mykolaiv damaged five apartment buildings, at least four shops, a restaurant and office premises.

A 64-year-old man was also injured as a result of the attack and was hospitalized.
