Trump announces peace talks between Ukraine and russia in Saudi Arabia

U.S. President Donald Trump announced another negotiation meeting between representatives of Ukraine and russia on ending the war. According to him, it should take place in Saudi Arabia.

He stated this at a press conference at the White House on February 13.

"Next week, there's a meeting in Saudi Arabia – not with myself or President Putin, but with top officials – and Ukraine will be a part of it too. We're going to see if we can end that war," Trump said.

Earlier, the U.S. President did not rule out the possibility of a personal meeting with Vladimir Putin in Saudi Arabia.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on February 13, U.S. President Donald Trump called it "unlikely" that Ukraine would return to the borders that the country had in 2014 before the start of hybrid aggression by russia.

According to the American publication The Hill, Trump wants to hold a meeting with putin in Saudi Arabia.

On February 13, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Trump's talks with russian dictator vladimir putin could not begin without a united position from Ukraine, the European Union, and the United States.

Trump's special envoy for russia and Ukraine, Keith Kellogg, said on February 5 that at the Munich Security Conference he would discuss ending the war.
