Steel production up 12% to 0.6 million tons in January

In January 2025, steel production increased by 12.3% to 611,000 tons compared to January 2024.

This is stated in the information published on the website of the Ukrmetallurgprom association of enterprises, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

In January 2025, pig iron production increased by 7.2% to 595,000 tons compared to January 2024, and rolled steel production - by 6.0% to 480,000 tons.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, in January-September 2024, steel production increased by 28.2%, or by 1,294,000 tons, to 5,884,000 tons compared to the same period in 2023.
