70 russian UAVs shot down over Ukraine at night, another 74 lost in location
On the night of Sunday, February 9, the russian occupiers attacked Ukraine with 151 Shahed attack UAVs and simulator drones of various types from the directions: Kursk, Oryol, Millerovo, Bryansk, Primorsko-Akhtarsk.
The Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this on Telegram.
The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, mobile fire groups of the Air Forces and the Defense Forces of Ukraine.
As of 9 a.m., it was confirmed that 70 Shahed attack UAVs and drones of other types were shot down in the Kyiv, Kharkiv, Poltava, Sumy, Cherkasy, Chernihiv, Kirovohrad, Vinnytsia, Zhytomyr, Rivne, Volyn, Mykolaiv, Kherson and Odesa Regions.
74 enemy simulator drones were lost in location (without negative consequences). Two UAVs at the moment of report were in the air, combat operations were ongoing.
As a result of the enemy attack, the Kyiv, Sumy, Dnipropetrovsk, Kharkiv, Zhytomyr and Volyn Regions were affected.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on the night of February 6, Ukrainian units of the Unmanned Systems Forces, in coordination with other defense forces, struck the Primorsko-Akhtarsk military airfield in the Krasnodar Krai of the russian federation. As a result of the attack, explosions and a fire broke out at the facility.
