Air Force show how they destroyed enemy russian targets in January
Air defense shot down more than 2,300 enemy air attack vehicles during January 2025.
This was stated in a message from the Ukrainian Air Force Command on Facebook on Sunday, February 2.
During January 2025, the Ukrainian Air Defense shot down the following enemy targets:
- 31 Kh-101, Kalibr, Iskander-K cruise missiles;
- 2 Iskander-M ballistic missiles;
- 12 Kh-59/69 guided aircraft missiles;
- 1,595 Shahed attack UAVs;
- 388 reconnaissance UAVs;
- 236 UAVs of other types.
"In January, the tactical aviation of the Air Force carried out more than 220 sorties for aerial reconnaissance, fighter cover, fire destruction and air support of ground units. Of these, 77 were for fire destruction, 79 were for fighter air cover," the report says.
In January, Ukrainian aviation destroyed 215 air targets, hit command posts, UAV control points, areas of concentration of equipment and manpower of the occupiers.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, air defense shot down more than 500 enemy targets with which the aggressor country of russia tried to attack Ukraine in a week.
On January 26, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that the army of the aggressor country of russia used almost 2,000 unmanned aerial vehicles, aircraft bombs and missiles of various types to strike Ukraine during the week.
Overnight into January 25-26, the russian occupiers launched 72 drones of various types over Ukraine.
