Cabinet dismisses Deputy Defense Minister Klimenkov
The Cabinet of Ministers has dismissed Deputy Defense Minister Dmytro Klimenkov.
This is stated in the government's message on the Telegram channel, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
"At its meeting on January 28, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine adopted an order to dismiss Klimenkov Dmytro Olehovych from the post of Deputy Defense Minister of Ukraine," the message says.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on January 24, Defense Minister Rustem Umerov announced that due to the failure of weapons procurement, he was initiating the dismissal of his deputy Dmytro Klimenkov and was not extending the contract with the director of the Defense Procurement Agency state enterprise Maryna Bezrukova.
In October 2023, the Cabinet of Ministers appointed Klimenkov as Deputy Defense Minister, he became Deputy Minister for Procurement.
Previously, Klimenkov worked as the commercial director of JSC Ukrtransgaz.
