Explosion occurs near Mazyr in Belarus. Russian Shahed shot down

On the night of January 28, air defense systems in the Mazyr district of Belarus shot down a russian Shahed attack drone, which had flown into Belarusian airspace during russia's attack on Ukraine.

According to the Belaruski Gayun monitoring project, the drone was eliminated at 12:55 a.m. by air defense systems of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus. At about the same time, an explosion was recorded near Mazyr, and a few minutes later the Shahed stopped appearing in the monitoring data.

It is worth noting that Belarusian military aircraft did not take to the sky, and Mazyr itself is located approximately 45 km from the border with Ukraine.

The city is located in the Gomel Region on the right bank of the Pripyat River and borders the Kyiv and Zhytomyr Regions of Ukraine.

It is noted that on the night of January 28, the enemy attacked Ukraine with 100 Shahed attack UAVs and simulator drones of various types from the directions of Oryol, Bryansk, Kursk, Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk (all – russia) and Cape Chauda (Crimea).
