Air defense forces shoot down 2 guided aircraft missiles and 46 enemy UAVs during night attack by russia
On the night of Saturday, January 25, russian troops launched 2 guided aerial missiles and 61 drones over the territory of Ukraine, air defense forces shot down both missiles and 46 drones, another 15 UAVs did not reach their targets (lost in location).
The Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this on the Telegram channel, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
It is noted that on the night of January 25 (from 7 p.m. on January 24), the enemy attacked with two Kh-59/69 guided aerial missiles from the airspace of the Black Sea and 61 Shahed attack UAVs and simulator drones of various types from the directions: Oryol, Kursk, Bryansk, Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk (all - russian federation).
"As of 9:30 a.m., the shooting down of two Kh-59/69 guided aerial missiles and 46 Shahed attack UAVs and drones of other types in the Odesa, Kharkiv, Poltava, Sumy, Kyiv, Cherkasy, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk, Khmelnytskyi and Kirovohrad Regions was confirmed. 15 enemy simulator drones were lost in location (without negative consequences)," the message says.
The air attack was repelled by anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, mobile fire groups of the Air Forces and the Defense Forces of Ukraine.
According to the Air Forces, the downed enemy UAVs caused damage in the Kyiv, Cherkasy and Khmelnytskyi Regions: buildings of enterprises, institutions, apartment and private houses, and vehicles were damaged.
Currently, special services are eliminating the consequences, and assistance is being provided to the victims.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on the night of Friday, January 24, russian troops launched 58 drones over the territory of Ukraine, air defense forces managed to shoot down 25 drones, and another 27 UAVs did not reach their targets (lost in location).
