Donald Trump sworn in as US President for second time
U.S. President-elect Donald Trump has been sworn in as the 47th President of the United States.
It was reported by CNN.
"I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States," Trump said in the oath.
It is noted that former U.S. presidents Franklin Pierce and Herbert Hoover preferred to "affirm" rather than "swear" their oaths.
Donald Trump took the oath on two Bibles - one given to him by his mother and the Lincoln Bible. The latter has been used by several other previous presidents, including Abraham Lincoln in 1861.
Trump's inauguration is being held indoors for the first time since 1985 due to weather conditions.
