Ukraine produces third of its weapons needs today - Zelenskyy

Ukraine produces 33-34% of its weapons needs today.

This was announced by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in Warsaw during a joint meeting with Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk and media representatives, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

"When we started the war, the proportions of aid from Europe, the United States and Ukrainian production were the same, but today we have different proportions. Today, somewhere around 33-34% of all weapons in Ukraine are domestically produced, with 100% of what we need per year. And this is a serious increase. It was less than 10%... About 30% - Europe and somewhere over 30%, about 40% - the United States of America," he said.

Zelenskyy stressed that it is very important for Ukraine to maintain the military support of Europe and the United States, this is one of the guarantees of security.

According to him, today the russians have more tanks, aircraft, and helicopters than Ukraine, and Ukraine produces more drones, in particular due to the money provided by partners.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, in August, the Ministry of Defense reported that in 2024, Ukrainian manufacturers would provide 70% of the cost of contracts for the supply of weapons to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
