Air defense destroys 30 out of 43 missiles and 47 out of 74 UAVs during massive russian attack

On the night of January 15, the russian occupiers attacked Ukraine with 117 air targets, including missiles of various types, including one ballistic, as well as 74 Shahed strike UAVs and simulator drones. Air defense forces shot down 30 missiles and 47 UAVs.

This was reported by the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Thus, on the night of January 15, 2025, the russian occupiers carried out a combined strike on Ukraine with missiles of various types of air, ground and sea-based, as well as strike UAVs of the Shahed type and simulator drones of other types.

It is reported that in total, the EW troops of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine detected and tracked 117 enemy air targets:

According to preliminary data, as of 10:00 a.m., 77 air targets were confirmed to have been shot down:

"Not all missiles that were not included in the statistics of those shot down reached their targets!" the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine emphasized.

During the massive attack, the enemy targeted Ukrainian energy facilities, in particular gas infrastructure in the Kharkiv, Lviv and Ivano-Frankivsk Regions. As a result of the shelling, the facilities were damaged.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on the morning of Wednesday, January 15, an air alert was declared throughout Ukraine due to missile danger. Kh-101 missiles were launched from TU-95MS bombers. In addition, Kalibr missiles flew over the Kherson Region from the Black Sea. Russia also attacked with Kinzhal missiles and ballistic missiles. Most of the missiles were moving to the west of Ukraine.
