The aggressor country russia continues to transfer weapons and military equipment from Syria to Libya using aviation.
This is stated in the message of the Defense Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
Thus, it is reported that russian soldiers were ordered to burn all military vehicles that are inoperable and require repair.
Also, according to the Defense Intelligence, the russians have had problems with the evacuation of military property by sea – permission for russian ships to enter the port of Tartus is still missing.
On January 9, 2025, russian Rear Admiral Varfolomeyev Valery Vladimirovich made another unsuccessful attempt to reach an agreement – he was not allowed to negotiate.
Thus, the dry cargo ship Sparta and two large Russian landing ships "Ivan Gren" and "Alexander Otrakovsky" are in the outer roadstead of the port of Tartus. The Otrakovsky had problems with the water desalination plant and the second and third fuel tanks began to leak.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on December 23, the russian ship Ursa Major sank in the Mediterranean Sea. It was heading to Syria to evacuate personnel and equipment of the russian army, but sank due to an explosion.
Later, russia stated that the Ursa Major sank allegedly as a result of a terrorist attack. The russians did not provide any evidence for this.
And the Sparta ship, which cannot obtain permission to enter the port of Tartus, broke down off the coast of France in mid-December. The crew managed to fix the malfunction and the ship continued its journey.
