Air defense downs 47 enemy UAVs at night, 27 lost in location
Overnight into Saturday, January 11, russian troops launched 74 drones over the territory of Ukraine, air defense forces managed to shoot down 47 of them, another 27 UAVs did not reach their targets (lost in location).
The Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine announced this on the Telegram channel, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
It is noted that on the night of January 11 (from 08:00 p.m. on January 10), the enemy attacked with 74 Shahed attack UAVs and simulator drones of various types from the directions of Millerovo, Oryol, Bryansk, Primorsko-Akhtarsk (all - russian federation).
"As of 09:00 a.m., it has been confirmed that 47 Shahed attack UAVs and other types of drones have been shot down in the Poltava, Sumy, Kharkiv, Cherkasy, Chernihiv, Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia, Kirovohrad, Kherson and Mykolaiv Regions. 27 enemy simulator drones have been lost in location (without negative consequences)," the message says.
Due to the fall of the downed enemy drones in seven regions of Ukraine, farm buildings, institutions, private houses, and vehicles were damaged.
According to preliminary data, there were no casualties, the consequences are being eliminated, and assistance is being provided to the injured.
The air attack was repelled by anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, and mobile fire groups of the Air Force and Defense Forces of Ukraine.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on the night of January 10, the russians launched 72 drones over the territory of Ukraine, air defense forces managed to shoot down 33 of them, and another 34 UAVs did not reach their targets (lost in location).
