In 2024, sales of EV up 38% to 51,700 units - Ukravtoprom

In 2024, sales of electric vehicles increased by 38% to 51,700 units compared to 2023.

This is stated in the message of the Ukravtoprom association, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

Passenger cars 50,458 units, 37% more than in 2023, commercial cars - 1,264 units, 64% more, electric buses - 2 units.

The share of new equipment in BEV registrations, as in the previous year, was 20%.

In December 2024, sales of cars with battery power sources (new and with mileage) decreased by 18% to 3,800 cars compared to December 2023.

Of these, more than 3,600 are passenger cars, which is 20% less, and 124 are commercial vehicles, which is 59% more.

The most popular in 2024 among new electric vehicles were: Volkswagen ID.4 - 1,626 units; HONDA M-NV - 1,279 units; BYD Song Plus - 1,007 units; NISSAN Ariya - 766 units and ZEEKR 001 - 703 units.

The most popular in 2024 among used electric vehicles registered for the first time in Ukraine were: Nissan Leaf - 5,511 units, Tesla Model 3 - 4,639 units, TESLA Model Y - 4,225 units, VOLKSWAGEN e-Golf - 2,479 units and HYUNDAI Kona Electric - 2,337 units.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, in 2023, sales of electric vehicles increased 2.8 times to 37,600 units compared to 2022.
