State Operator of Rear purchases dye-labelled diesel fuel for army for UAH 2.7 billion

The procurement agency of the Ministry of Defense "State Operator of the Rear" purchased dye-labelled diesel fuel for over UAH 2.7 billion.

This is stated in the message of the Ministry of Defense, Ukrainian News Agency reports

"Diesel fuel marking is an effective control tool that allows you to track each batch of fuel and minimize the risks of abuse," said Deputy Minister of Defense Dmytro Klimenkov.

It is noted that special attention was paid to checking the physicochemical properties of paints and studying their impact on fuel. The Ministry of Defense assures that the tests conducted confirmed that the dyes do not deteriorate the quality of the product.

The purchase was made with the funds of additional proven financing in December 2024, the State Operator of the Rear made purchases through Prozorro to provide the Armed Forces of Ukraine with fuel for the beginning of 2025.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, in November 2023, Defense Minister Rustem Umerov appointed Arsen Zhumadilov as the director general of the state enterprise "State Operator of the Rear".

In July, the State Operator of the Rear explained the failure of the tender for almost UAH 3 billion for the purchase of bulletproof vests.
