Air defense forces shoot down 34 of 81 enemy UAVs at night

On the night of Saturday, January 4, russian troops launched 81 drones over the territory of Ukraine, air defense forces managed to shoot down 34 drones, another 47 UAVs did not reach their targets.

The Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this on the Telegram channel, the Ukrainian News agency reports.

It is noted that at night the enemy attacked Ukraine with 81 Shahed attack UAVs and simulator drones of various types from the directions of Bryansk, Kursk, Oryol and Primorsko-Akhtarsk (all - russian federation).

"As of 9:00 a.m., it has been confirmed that 34 Shahed attack UAVs and drones of other types have been shot down in the Poltava, Sumy, Kharkiv, Kyiv, Chernihiv, Cherkasy, Kirovohrad, Dnipropetrovsk, Odesa and Mykolaiv Regions. Due to the active countermeasures of the Defense Forces, 47 enemy simulator drones were lost in location (without negative consequences)," the message says.

The shot down UAVs caused damage in the Chernihiv and Sumy Regions - private houses were damaged.

There are also casualties.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on the night of January 3, the russians launched 93 drones over the territory of Ukraine, the Ukrainian military shot down 60 drones, and another 26 UAVs were lost in location.
