AFU eliminate 1,080 invaders, 15 armored vehicles and 49 drones. General Staff names russia’s losses over day

As of the morning of January 3, the army of the aggressor country of the russian federation at the front in Ukraine lost 1,080 soldiers. Since the beginning of the invasion, the invaders have lost more than 793,000 of their soldiers.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this on Facebook.

The total combat losses of the enemy from February 24, 2022 to January 3, 2024 are approximately:

• personnel - about 793,250 (+1,080) people eliminated;
• tanks - 9,677 (+1) units;
• armored combat vehicles - 20,070 (+14) units;
• artillery systems - 21,555 (+3) units;
• MLRS - 1,257 (+1) units;
• air defense systems - 1,032 units;
• aircraft - 369 units;
• helicopters - 330 units;
• operational-tactical level UAVs - 21,249 (+49) units;
• cruise missiles - 3,003 units;
• ships/boats - 28 units;
• submarines - 1 unit;
• automotive equipment and tanker trucks - 32,770 (+41) units;
• special equipment - 3,675 units

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the losses of russian troops on January 1 increased by 1,370 to 792,170 people, and Ukrainian defenders also destroyed 1 helicopter, 13 armored combat vehicles, 20 artillery systems, and 69 drones over the past day.
