Activity of russian sabotage groups decreased on northern border - Siversk OSTG
The presence of enemy sabotage and reconnaissance groups on the northern border of Ukraine has decreased, but cases are being recorded.
Vadym Mysnyk, the spokesman for the Siversk operational and strategic troops group (OSTG), stated this during a telethon.
"The activity of the enemy's use of sabotage and reconnaissance groups remains constant. We know that intelligence records the presence of such units in our direction, but cases of their direct use have significantly decreased," Mysnyk noted.
According to him, the winter period partially contributes to such sabotage actions by the enemy, but all attempts are detected in a timely manner and receive a proper rebuff.
Earlier, the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine reported that the Sumy Region is the "most popular" for russian sabotage groups. Russian saboteurs do not abandon attempts to break through the border there.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, in December, russian sabotage groups began to attack the northern border more often, but there is no threat of an offensive.
In September, it was reported that russian sabotage groups began to engage in combat with Ukrainian military forces in the Sumy Region less frequently.
