Trial in Farion murder case will begin today

Today, the Shevchenkivskyi District Court of Lviv will begin considering the case against Vyacheslav Zinchenko, accused of the murder of professor Iryna Farion.

Farion's daughter announced this on Facebook, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

The trial will take place on Sichovykh Striltsiv Street.

The court session will start at 10:30 a.m.

The court building is located 10 minutes from Lviv Polytechnic.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, Farion's daughter reacted to the reclassification of the case into the murder of her mother.

Cyberpolice were able to hack the Google account of the suspect in the Farion murder and find out his intentions for the crime. The National Police investigation named the main motive for the murder of linguist professor Iryna Farion of Lviv Polytechnic. Zinchenko's case was transferred to the court with a new qualification of the crime. In the summer, Vyacheslav Zinchenko, suspected of the murder of professor and linguist Iryna Farion, was transferred to another detention center for his personal protection. On July 19, at around 7:30 p.m., an unknown man shot Farion with a firearm in Lviv; Farion died in hospital that same evening.
